  2. Sep 30,  · I love End Of The Century. The only real dud on there to me is Baby, I Love You. High Risk Insurance isn't that great to me either (I love Let's Go though). This was my first Ramones album, got it when it came out (I was 12) and I still love it. I think All The Way, I'm Affected, Let's Go and The Return Of Jackie and Judy are totally underrated.
  3. 5. Sep 27,  · With the recently released deluxe edition of the Ramones’ tour album, It’s Alive, and the planned last quarter /early 40 th anniversary of the original Phil Spector-produced End of the Century, with producer Rick Rubin who is involved for an expanded reissue of this initial pressing, it is time to re-visit End of the Century, cut at the landmark Gold Star Recording Studios in Hollywood.
  6. Sep 04,  · Marky and Dee Dee followed soon. According to DeeDee "End Of The Century" was almost purely Joey's solo album backed by studio musicians. Even that very little of band's playing has later been overdubbed, overproduced and re-recorded. I mean if you were/are Ramones fan you could easily tell that it just ain't the "brudders" on the record.
  7. The Ramones documentary "End Of The Century" is a must see for any fan. It gives you some very interesting history and background on the making of the album. It's also one of the best rock documentaries you will ever see, even if you hate this band/5().
  8. End of the Century was our biggest selling album, but it almost ruined our careers because the people who bought the record came and saw us, they came to see “Baby, I Love You,” and as soon as.
  9. End of the Century may not be the Ramones’ best record (I’d give the nod to Leave Home or Rocket to Russia), but it may be the best one that a large number of listeners are likely to hear Author: Kurt Loder.
